Plenny Editorial Standards
How Plenny researches, writes, reviews, updates, and corrects educational content about hemp and cannabis products.
Our purpose
Plenny Learn exists to help adults understand product labels, cannabinoids, preparation methods, responsible-use considerations, batch laboratory reports, and common shopping questions. Content is created to answer real customer questions clearly. It is not created to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease.
Who creates the content
Learn pages are written and maintained by Chris Garcia and the Plenny editorial team. Pages identify the responsible author or editor and link to additional background.
Why we publish
Our goal is to help adult customers make more informed decisions, understand uncertainty, and recognize when a question belongs with a clinician, attorney, laboratory, or manufacturer.
How pages are prepared
Editors compare current product details, available batch COAs, manufacturer information, primary government guidance, peer-reviewed research, and other linked references appropriate to the topic.
Commercial relationship
Plenny sells products discussed on this website. Links to Plenny products are commercial. Educational conclusions are not guarantees of an individual experience or medical result.
Source standards
We prefer original and authoritative sources whenever practical. Depending on the subject, that can include government agencies such as the FDA, CDC, NIH, NCCIH, SAMHSA, and state regulators; peer-reviewed research; accredited laboratory reports; product labels; and manufacturer instructions.
Third-party strain databases and community descriptions may be used for naming history or commonly reported aroma language. They are identified as descriptive references, not laboratory proof or medical evidence.
Batch facts versus general descriptions
A strain name does not guarantee potency, terpene content, appearance, freshness, or effects. When a page discusses a current Plenny batch, it should distinguish measured values from general strain history and common menu language. Laboratory results apply to the submitted sample and the tests ordered. A potency-only report does not prove that contaminants were tested.
Health and safety content
Health-related pages receive additional caution because inaccurate information can cause harm. We link the evidence used, explain important limitations, avoid presenting cannabis as a cure, and include warning signs or professional-care guidance when relevant.
Legal information
Laws and shipping rules can change. Legal pages identify the date reviewed and link official sources when possible. Nothing on Plenny should be treated as legal advice. Customers are responsible for checking current laws where they live, receive shipments, possess products, and travel.
AI and digital tools
Plenny may use digital tools, including AI-assisted drafting, editing, formatting, or research organization. A human editor remains responsible for checking claims, sources, product details, links, tone, and final publication. Automated output is not treated as an authority. When a page requires a special disclosure about how it was produced, that disclosure should appear on the page.
Dates and updates
Published and reviewed dates are used to show when meaningful editorial work occurred. We do not change a date solely to make a page appear fresh. Pages are updated when evidence, product information, laws, safety guidance, or linked resources materially change.
Corrections
Readers can report a possible error, outdated link, or mismatched product detail by emailing christopher@plenny.org. Please include the page URL and the specific statement in question. Material corrections should be made promptly and the reviewed date updated when appropriate.
Product observations and reviews
First-hand observations should identify what was examined, such as packaging, aroma, appearance, hardware, label information, or a batch COA. Personal observations are clearly separated from measured facts. Customer reviews represent the individual reviewer and are not universal outcomes.
