Can You Freeze Weed?

Cold can slow chemical change, but a household freezer can also make trichomes brittle and create condensation when the package is handled poorly.

Short answer: You can freeze cannabis flower, and controlled studies show low temperatures slow cannabinoid degradation. For everyday storage, however, freezing is usually unnecessary. Repeated opening, temperature cycling, poor seals, and thawing can expose flower to condensation and mechanical damage. If you decide to freeze flower

1. Start with properly dried flower

3. Divide it before freezing

Use small sealed portions so the entire supply does not warm and cool every time one portion is needed.
