A plant needs the genetic machinery to produce and accumulate visible anthocyanin pigments. Some cultivars color easily, while others remain mostly green in similar conditions.

Inspect the whole flower

Flower should not smell like mildew, rot, or sharp ammonia. It should not feel wet or crumble instantly into dust.
Store it correctly
Use an airtight container in a cool, dark location. Protecting the flower from heat, light, air, and excess moisture helps preserve quality.

Can green weed turn purple?
Some genetically capable plants develop more visible purple pigmentation as they mature or encounter certain environmental conditions. A cured green flower will not reliably become premium purple flower through home storage.
Does cold make cannabis purple?
