Peanut Butter Pickle Crunch Sandwich

Creamy peanut butter, cold dill pickles, and salty kettle-chip crunch. It sounds chaotic, but every bite hits creamy, tangy, salty, and crisp at once.

Why it works

The weird combo has actual snack logic

Peanut butter brings roasted richness and a little sweetness. Dill pickles cut through that richness with cold acidity, while kettle chips add the salty crunch that soft bread and creamy peanut butter need.

The result lands somewhere between a peanut butter sandwich and a salty bar snack. The key is keeping every layer controlled so no single ingredient takes over.

The recipe

Seven minutes from curious to convinced

Ingredients

  • 2 slices soft white or wheat sandwich bread
  • 2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
  • 6 to 8 dill pickle chips
  • About 1/4 cup plain kettle potato chips
  • 1/2 teaspoon honey, optional
  • Black pepper, optional

Instructions

  1. Dry the pickles. Place the pickle chips on a paper towel and blot both sides until the surface moisture is gone.
  2. Spread both slices. Divide the peanut butter between both pieces of bread. Spreading both sides creates a barrier against pickle moisture.
  3. Add the pickles. Arrange one even layer of pickle chips over one slice. Avoid stacking them.
  4. Add the crunch. Lightly crush the kettle chips with your hand and scatter them over the pickles.
  5. Finish the flavor. Add a very thin honey drizzle or a little black pepper if you want it.
  6. Close and press. Add the second bread slice, press gently once, and cut the sandwich in half. Eat it right away while the chips are crisp.
Texture trick: Keep the chips in large broken pieces. Fine crumbs disappear into the peanut butter and lose the crunch.

Choose your chaos

Six ways to change the same sandwich

Spicy dill

Use spicy pickle chips and add a few drops of hot sauce.

Sweet heat

Add a thin honey drizzle and a pinch of crushed red pepper.

Extra tangy

Use sourdough bread and skip the honey.

More crunch

Choose ridged potato chips or salt-and-vinegar chips.

Toasted

Toast the bread first, let it cool, then build the sandwich.

Nut-free

Use sunflower seed butter and verify every ingredient label.

Good to know

Two quick snack notes

This is a normal, non-infused recipe

There is no cannabis in this sandwich. It is part of Snack Lab because it is a fun comfort snack, not because it is infused.

Watch for allergens

Peanuts are a major allergen. Use sunflower seed butter for a nut-free variation and check bread, chips, and spreads for cross-contact warnings when needed.
